About Alexa Global Health

This blog started as a project for a Global Health class as a part of Bellevue College HealthCare Management and Leadership program. It is meant to inform about non-communicable diseases and how they impact the global population. I am especially interested in population health, community and clinician education, and non-communicable disease prevention.

I am a healthcare professional with experience in team management and development. I have worked throughout the continuum of healthcare and with a diverse population. I am focused on connecting the dots and finding creative ways to find solutions to big problems. I currently work in that capacity for an innovative company looking to change how substance abuse disorder is being addressed in the U.S.

If you share my passion or just want to learn more about global health issues, non-communicable diseases and their impact, and what we can do globally to address them, you’ve come to the right place. A big focus of this blog is global approaches for treating substance use disorder. Each article is meant to inform, brainstorm, and motivate change. I love a good conversation, so reach out to me if you have any questions or feedback.
